Approach & Philosophy

My Philosophy

"Psychology is ultimately about human dignity. Every person deserves to be understood, to have their suffering recognized as legitimate, and to receive support in finding a path forward. Mental health is not a luxury—it is fundamental to human potential and fulfillment."

Therapeutic Approach

My practice integrates evidence-based methodologies with cultural sensitivity, recognizing that effective therapy must respect both clinical standards and personal context. I primarily draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy, selecting approaches based on individual needs rather than a one-size-fits-all philosophy.

Core Principles

  1. Comprehensive Understanding: Every person is a complex system of thoughts, emotions, behaviors, relationships, and cultural influences that must be understood holistically.

  2. Evidence-Based Practice: Therapeutic interventions should be grounded in research while being adapted to individual needs and cultural contexts.

  3. Cultural Sensitivity: Mental health care must acknowledge and respect diverse beliefs, values, and practices, particularly in a country as culturally rich as India.

  4. Empowerment: Therapy should equip individuals with tools for self-understanding and change that extend beyond the therapeutic relationship.

  5. Accessibility: Quality mental health care should be available to all, regardless of socioeconomic status, location, or background.
